History Project Starts into a New Circle with Museum Specialists2-5 June 2009 From 2-5 July 2009 dvv international organized a regional conference under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Canton Sarajevo within the History Project: “Remember for the Future”. The Sarajevo meeting gave opportunity to 30 museum workers from 9 countries (Albania, Bosnia- Herzegowina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia) to exchange experiences and learn how to transmit historical events with suitable methods for adults, forigners and children. Specifically the aim is to use methods which reinforce a multi- instead of mono perspective view on history.
The workshops were held in 3 different locations related to the issue of history and culture such as the National Museum, Svrzina Kuca and the Orient meets Occident Pavillon which stand for different locations such as an ordinary museum, a museum in a historical location (Bosnian House) and surrounding of museum. Dr. Beate Schmidt-Behlau coordinator of the region in the Bonn office of dvv international and Ms Dženana Ibišević on behalf of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Canton Sarajevo opened the conference, Burkad Grahn from IBB Dortmund, Marc Olejniczak and Christian Geiselmann moderated the workshops.

Modern Approaches and Good Practices of History Teaching17-18 January 2009
More than 30 teachers and experts from various places in Bulgaria gathered in Veliko Tarnovo to share and discuss various history teaching approaches and practices. Topics that raised much interest were: how to use the biography method in the everyday practice, what are the advantages of the multicultural approach, how to build a positive image of the neighbor, how to use movies and new technologies to make the lessons much more enjoyable and interesting of everybody involved.
